The lesson in full: While chat used to be a trivial feature as part of our collaboration suite, the introduction of AI use cases means chat needs to be taken much more seriously, especially on how AI chat shows transparency, reasoning steps, etc.
What it is
A complete chat and messaging architecture for Kognitwin. This is the backbone for both the internal chat and the AI copilot chat system. Built with scalability and performance in mind, with load balancing work distributed across multiple worker nodes. This took the lessons learned from the previous ‘live collaboration and chat’ system and Slack’s architecture, to avoid reinventing the wheel. This was introduced at the same time as the ‘Reasoning Engine’ project to enable an AI-powered chat experience in Kognitwin.
